Roma Publications
“The less there is to see, the more there is to think” is the motto that Bernard Brunon has given his artistic endeavor That’s Painting, a double enterprise combining first a house painting business based in Houston, and second, his artistic production running wild all over the world. This small monograph reveals, in particular through a thorough interview with the artist-businessman, his way of infiltrating those invisible spaces of art that are the walls of galleries and museums, which he repaints between and during their programmes. In the tradition of Claude Rutault, Brunon poses the question of a painting disconnected from its subject, its medium, its form, from the actions of the painter, from the painter himself... Here, the concept is in the form and the form is in the concept. Rare.
